People were friendly and courteous and I would have given them a 4 star if not for the additional $4000 "Vehicle Reconditioning" and $2000 "Shottenkirk Customer Care" on top of the price of the car is ridiculous. As a customer, I could not even opt out of it. The price of the car listed on line should be the price you should be selling for.

This dealership list price is not their intended sales price. They give lower price verbally and online and then on their paperwork add extra in a section for market value. Unfortunately they care more about getting your signature then they do their customers. As soon as you sign they have moved on to the next customer. When our brand new vehicle arrived it had sticky food stuck on the console. We later found out that one of their employees was sent to Mississippi to drive it back to their dealership in Texas. That alone put 500 miles on our brand new vehicle in which we signed paperwork saying it had 0 miles. They lied to us and when we asked one of the managers a question his answer contradicted what another one of their managers told us. Multiple times that happened.

Lots of vehicle choices. Not thrilled with the back/forth negotiations. What took 5 hours to complete could have been handled in 2 if we had started with the decision maker in the beginning. Beyond frustrating and almost walked out several times.

To be the worst car dealership in Texas takes talent. You have to have a team of people working together to be crooks willing to take advantage of people, mislead, and lie at every opportunity. Iāve never seen anything like it and Iāve bought a great deal of cars in my lifetime. These guys are the master of the hidden fee. The price you see and are quoted...just tag on 10k to their āno hassleā price. They add on something called a Shottenkirk Plan on the front end of the deal itās usually around 2,000, itās good for 1 year. It covers door dings and glass. I know what you are thinking. I donāt want it. I didnāt see it in my paperwork anywhere. I recorded their main finance guy and he explained it wasnāt me personally, they did it to everyone. B/c they add it on at the front end of the deal they donāt have to take it off like they do a regular warranty. I found their VP...and made them. I am unpopular. Mine was 2k. I also had them remove 5k in warranties. Seems the warranties the sold me didnāt match the warranties held by the warranty holder. They didnāt want to refund most of them āno way, no howā until I caught them in fraud. Was it a mix up? They never stop lying long enough for you to figure it out. They told me I had 45 days to make my 1st payment. turns out I had 35 days, so the GM offered to make my 1st payment for me. Then I went in to take a couple of redundant warranties off. Then he said, he wouldnāt if I was going to do that. (In Texas verbal agreements are binding.) VP (hard to find that guy had to call a dealership in IA) offered me $500 bucks (not quite my first payment) and thought I should be thrilled b/c now I had 7500 off my vehicle. 2,000 was the door and ding plan (which is covered my comprehensive insurance) 5k was fraudulent warranties which were different than the ones I bought. They had to let me out of them. And u almost covered my 1st payment which is a verbal binding agreement in TX. But u didnāt actually cover it. I asked the VP for an apology from the GM. I worked as a multi-store retail manager for 6 years while getting my PhD. I never raise my voice. Iām never rude. Iām down right nice. He was threatening and intimidating. You can tell heās not from the south, men maybe condescending, but Iām not your wife or your gf...in a retail environment where your the manager and Iām a perfectly calm customer you should never intimate or threaten a woman (especially a disabled one) itās beyond the pale. No apology. They backdated the day of the sale. 32 days now. They were supposed to refinance it. They didnāt. The VP seemingly cannot or will not make the GM do anything. As far as I can tell itās his fiefdom. If there is someone you really donāt like...send them to Shottenkirk. Otherwise they will pick clean ur bones. I did have my car serviced here recently as well. I do like their service Dept; however, when I bought the car the salesman told me there was a recall and it couldnāt be fixed yet. My eyes donāt always work so we have to stick w/ verbal communication. I asked him if the recall was dangerous. Could it kill you? He laughed and said,āNo nothing like that, it was perfectly safe.ā Turns out it can kill you. My Highlander was at Toyota for a month. BTW: I love my tricked Highlander...but donāt buy one from Shottenkirk Granbury (his father runs the Weathford store) i image any other dealership would be great. The Fort Worth ones seem nice

I came to your dealership on 3-5-21 to purchase a truck I found on your website. Talked to the manager Thursday night on phone and set up coming in from Plano which is 1.5 hrs from dealership. Drove in and met with manager and was out looking at truck and salesman said it sold! I was so pissed off. The manager said he would make it right and tried to with a newer year model but not 4 wheel drive like I wanted. Showed me a clean carfax and I bought the truck and drove home. Few days later I noticed 4 dents in the cab by the cargo lite. Sent the salesman Ethan Wilkens pics I took at the dealership and you can see the dents in pica. He said he would get right on it. I have texted him numerous times and still nothing have not heard a word from anyone at dealership! This is a very bad experience and poor service!

They lied about a Tacoma being at the dealership, we negotiated on a a Tacoma and a different one was delivered. They blamed us so we declined the delivery and called finance company and canceled loan. Dishonesty at its best there. When we did cancel everything thatās when they started calling us back asking how they can keep our business, should have not lied from the start. Toyota!! do not allow Shottenkirk to represent the Toyota name it degrades the name Toyota.

The minute he could tell we were buying the vehicle he disappeared to grab another victim & we were stuck with a pushy know it all to do the paper work. If the vehicle had not already sold itself we would have been out the door.

The sales department was excellent to work with making the purchase of the 2020 Tacoma Limited. The "FIRST" reason for the low rating is for a dirty first impression. I made an appointment to test drive the truck I saw online and when it was brought around front the inside of the truck had some trash on the floorboards also personal paperwork in the glove compartment from the previous owner. After the purchase was done the truck sent to be cleaned out but apparently that was just remove the larger pieces not to vacuum the complete inside or check all compartments for trash or personal documents. The "SECOND" reason is the fuel tank was not filled which most dealerships I have dealt with in my past have done this as a courteous gesture or appreciation for your business, so when I left the dealership I had dirty interior and a quarter of tank with about 87 miles to get home so I had to stop and fill up for the trip. My "THIRD" reason is I'm having issues with getting in contact with Tyronne or anybody in financing for information on when the dealership processes and sends out refund checks. After I canceled the extended Vehicle Maintenance Plan originally purchased at Shottenkirk I have a $1000.00 refund owed to me by the dealership. I have made several attempts calling but none of the of my calls have been answered in the financing department and all the voice mail boxes are full so I'm unable to leave a voice mail and they have not responded to a voice mail in quite sometime. I've also sent Tyronne text messages and gotten no response either. Although my experience with the Shottenkirk dealership wasn't the best they do have a large selection of very nice vehicles and I would recommend them to my family and friends but I will also let them know to bring their "A" game when going in there. "I'm still trying to find out about my $1000.00 refund."
